Happy No New Normal Shirt

I started drinking heavily and smoking a lot of weed to cope. Calling my insurers advice nurse obsessively. I felt so unfulfilled and sad all the time. She demanded I get therapy and get meds. I did so. Eventually the serious anxiety subsided and I was able to function again. The ultimatums kept happening, now to include the fact that she wanted a baby and I was so desperate not to be alone that I bought a ring. I eventually proposed and thought it would buy me some time to get my life on track.

The general public aren't trained to interact with the police. We frequently see situations like this, where someone in a very high stress situation (multiple cops trying to restrain, punch and taze him), doesn't react in a way that makes sense to an outside observer, but probably made sense to them at the time. "Shit, theses guys are kicking in my ass, let's get in this car and close the door."They actually had him on the ground but a bystander got in the way and he got back up (and then got unsuccessfully tazed), from the other video I saw of the incident. When I couldn't write my vows. I knew when I couldn't come up with anything, it wasn't right. I was 22 and he was in his 30s. I got married anyway. Before our one year anniversary I developed severe panic attacks and an extreme mood disorder. I did some really shitty things and then just left. The thing is, he was a wonderful dude. Literally one of the best people I've ever met. He was an incredibly good influence on my life. But I didn't love him. I didn't even try to stick it out. I felt guilty about it for years, dealt with depression and suicidal ideation. I lost my entire support network of friends and family (rightfully so). I basically just ran away. After hard work, therapy, and developing good habits, I got better. Found the love of my life and have been with him for 7 years now. I don't regret my decision to leave, but I regret my decision to get married. I was a dumb selfish person but I've made it past the worst parts of myself. Buy it:  Awes...

I was just about to back up and check on them when I remembered a story that an old greybeard colleague of mine told me. He told me that in certain remote areas, people will lie down in the middle of the road and wait for a car or truck to stop and see what's going on. At that point, the road-layers along with whoever else is hiding in the nearby bushes will beat the shit out of the driver and steal his vehicle, leaving him in the middle of nowhere.
